Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.
Lead the end to-end project management of development projects, from master planning to commissioning
Develop, manage and monitor projects roadmaps, ensuring alignment with strategics objectives and internal guidelines, and adhere to regulatory requirements of Health, Safety & Environment.
Oversee design development, planning approvals, and procurement processes, including review and recommendations to construction and M&E drawings and specifications.
Plan, implement and monitor construction activities to ensure timely executive and completion based on schedule and in accordance with approved plans and specifications.
Manage site inspections with consultants, authorities and clerk of work and evaluate and verify contractor’s time.
Coordinate and liaise with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
Lead projects meetings with internal and external stakeholders and provide regular updates to senior management.
Develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial accountability.
Identify potential risk, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve project roadblock proactively.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national regulations for construction and operations.
Manage licensing and accreditation process, including approvals from relevant government agencies.
Oversee environmental and sustainability consideration, ensuring adhere to green building standards.
Implement project governance frameworks and best practices in construction and commissioning.
Ensure high-quality standards in design, construction, and fit-out to meet operational needs.
Any other ad-hoc assignments as assigned by HOD.
Minimum Qualifications
Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, including computer skills as required.
Bachelor’s degree/Post Graduate Diploma / Professional Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or any related field.
Specialization in Civil Engineering, Construction, Structural is a plus.
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent is as plus.
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in project management or related field, with at least 5 years’ experience in infrastructure or large-scale development projects.
Experience in hospital / healthcare is an added advantage.
Familiar with clinical requirements (MOH) is an added advantage
Proven track record of successfully managing and executing development projects in Malaysia. Exposure to regional markets in Southeast Asia (Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia) and healthcare is a plus.
Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, local regulatory requirements and projects design principles.
Possess a high level of integrity and honestly, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
